Renowned and trailblazing festival managers from all over the world will guide the participants through lectures, one-on-one talks and intense workshops focusing on the artistic aspects of festival management. Under the coordination of Hugo De Greef (Atelier Coordinator, former EFA Secretary General, Director European Capital of Culture Bruges 2002, Co-Founder Kaaitheater Brussels - Belgium) participants will work with: Robyn Archer (Artistic Director The Light in Winter Melbourne, Deputy Chair Australia Council for the Arts, Strategic Advisor Gold Coast Arts and Culture Queensland – Australia), Mark Ball (Artistic Director London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT) – United Kingdom), Nele Hertling (Vice President of the Academy of Arts Berlin, Member Strategy Group “A Soul for Europe” – Germany), Michal Merczynski(General Director Malta Festival Poznan and Nostalgia Festival Poznan – Poland).

On Monday 20 October 2014 at 18:00 at Zamek Culture Centre the Atelier will be opened by Dariusz Jaworski, Deputy Mayor of Poznan, Karol Działoszyński, Chairman of the Malta Foundation Board and Anna Hryniewiecka, Director Zamek Culture Center. Darko Brlek, President of the European Festivals Association (EFA) and Prof. Jerzy Limon, Director of the Gdansk Shakespearean Theatre will welcome the Atelier group. Kathrin Deventer, Secretary General of EFA will introduce the Atelier and Mark Ball will kick off the Atelier with a keynote speech setting the tone for 7 days of intense discussions and inspiring exchanges. The Atelier POZNAN 2014 will close with a public session on Sunday 26 October 2014 at 18:00 at Zamek Culture Centre, including a closing speech by Robyn Archer.

The Atelier for Young Festival Managers POZNAN 2014 is set to continue the success of previous editions held in Görlitz - Germany (2006), Varna - Bulgaria (2009), Singapore (2011), Izmir - Turkey (2011), Ljubljana - Slovenia (2012) and Edinburgh - UK (2014).
